'Skin Deep' was produced by a team of four film-makers seeking to produce something different. Thanks to the help of an amazing cast and crew, the short film was made a reality.

Joby was born in London, England and by the age of six was shooting anything he could with his father’s old 'Super 8' video camera. By the age of 16 he had completed a short film that continues to be viewed by people worldwide, and has now had over 10000 online cinema admissions. Joby has recently finished a Film Production (BSc) degree whilst working in a variety of roles in TV and film production, including directing and editing a range of documentaries and music videos. Most notably, Joby has worked in the film industry in a variety of roles on films such as ‘Children of Men’ and ‘The Golden Compass’.
In 2007 Joby directed and edited Skin Deep, his second self-funded short film. Joby runs his own production company and continues to work in the film and television whilst pursuing the ultimate goals of directing and producing the large number of scripts and films he has in development.

Producer & Camera Operator
Ruth’s passion for film has led her to explore many different aspects of digital video production, from sound mixing to producing. Having completed at Bachelor of Science degree in ‘Film Production and Music Technology’ at Staffordshire University, the short films she has contributed to are just the beginning. Her career objective is to be a producer but enjoys getting her hands dirty with the technical side of productions.

Tom has had a vivid interest in the production of sound and music from an early age. Hours spent playing and recording music of all genres led him to develop this interest into the arena of film. Having just finished a degree in ‘Film Production and Music Technology’ he has combined his knowledge and experience to record and produce the sound for ‘Skin Deep’. Tom is currently balancing his desire to create films with his ambition to work on as many good films as possible, developing a career in film sound.

With a background in design and photography, film was Oliver’s next step to expressing his creativity. Recently graduating with a BSc in ‘Film Production Technology’ and with business experience running his own production company, Oliver has built an in depth knowledge of not only the art of film, but also the technology behind it. A passion for visual arts and creativity drive his ambition to learn and develop as a professional filmmaker.
